BG LAYOUT ARTIST

WIA Vancouver’s Animation Career EXCELerator (ACE) program has an exciting opportunity for a BG Layout artist to join our team!

 

In this role, you will design and paint production backgrounds, based on the background keys provided, under the supervision of the BG Layout Supervisor for a short film. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a creative team.

COMPOSITING SUPERVISOR

In this role, you will create and help develop the look for 2D Harmony composting shots under the direction and supervision of our Director and Animation director for an animated short film. We are looking for someone with previous Harmony Comp experience and enjoys being part of a creative team.

 

2D Harmony compositing supervisor is likely to:

  • Create and establish the  composited look of the animated short

  • Composite shots in a team environment, on a sequence of shots, and within a schedule.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the Comp team.

  • Review shots and ensure that the quality of the work from the Comp team meets production standards.

  • Ensure Final QC are delivered as outlined by Production 

  • Ensure that the team is meeting deadlines as outlined by Production.

  • Collaborate and work with members of the Production team and other departments.
